The FA Made for This Game
Whilst very successful, ‘Let Girls Play’ was great for it’s time but we need tom move on from Women's football asking for permission.
We changed the conversation to show women & girls that they belong on the pitch, on the sidelines and at the heart of football.
Despite the Lionesses' success, women and girls were still treated as guests in their own sport. The cultural wallpaper said football was something they could participate in—if they asked nicely. We saw an opportunity to detonate a cultural moment that would redefine who belongs at the heart of the game.
We created 'Made for This Game'—a campaign that signalled the end of asking for permission. Building on Let Girls Play, we positioned women and girls as players, coaches, referees, and leaders who claim their space, not request it.
We launched with a dynamic film, a comprehensive toolkit, and 23 unique Lioness timelines ahead of WEURO 2024. By championing diversity across age, size, ability, race, religion, and ethnicity, we ensured the message was unmistakable: football is for all.
The FA trusted us with women's football's defining cultural moment—proof that when you show up as a genuine fan, not a corporate sponsor, you earn your place in the conversation.
